Reflecting back on your earlier discussion, how did you reach the agreement that it was the strongest idea?

For our Maryland Cookie advert, we decided that it was the strongest idea for
various one reasons. One reasons is because the advert is fast-paced, so this would be a good idea because this will draw the attention of the viewers of a wide age range. Also, our idea is strong because the idea is original because we our involved in the advert. Secondly, we decided that our agreement was the strongest idea because there are a lot of transitions in our advert. This is a good idea because this shows that there is a constant change in the advert and that will also draw the attention of viewers because there are a lot of things happening in the advert. Also, at the end of our advert we show Maryland cookies dropping from above. This creates a big impact to the advert, and adding suspense as well as excitement to allow the mind to wanting more.

Give three reasons why the other ideas werent successful

One of the ideas put forward by my group was a beach ball advert. They put this Idea forward because at the time of the production and distribution of our Advert, the beach ball had an increase in sales to a new movie called
Straight out Of Compton came out. So therefore it would be something relatable at that moment in time. However, this would have meant that we would need to produce an advert around like a California based environment .The reason why we decided that this advert wasn’t going to be used was because it didn’t appeal to the majority of the target audience It would be using California environment and would therefore leave the audience unaware seeing how London is the opposite of California. As I mentioned previously, half of the target audience are people who are in places with rain and cold weather not beaches and sunny skies, so to make an advert based around people with weather of the opposite and wouldn’t appeal to them as much. Another reason as to why this idea wasn’t successful was because most of the previous beach ball adverts are taking in place in California and Miami location. If we were to go along with this idea then it wouldn’t bring any originality to the marketing campaigns and would just be another advert that they have already made. It wouldn’t be unique, and would mean that our pitch wouldn’t stand out. Another idea that we had was to playing a game with biscuits. Something likes a game of dominos, but instead with biscuits.  This idea would have been unique and certainly outstanding, but we didn’t go along with it is simply because it would have encouraged bad habits, such as playing with food.  This would have gone against the guidelines of ASA (Advertising Standards Agency), and therefore would have meant that

Advert 1:
Product Name: Nike

Nike launched its Risk Everything Football movement for 2014 plus for this they made an ad called ‘Winner Stays’. The video went viral reaching over 100 Million views.  In this ad well-known football players are included such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Newmar Jr., Wayne Rooney and many more. The ad connects to players’ passion for the game whether you one of the world’s best or players in the street. The phrase Winner Stays may sound accustomed, when young players from all around the world compete against their friends to win and pretend to be one of their idols.
Nike shoes are usually focused within age range of 16 to 34 (teenagers to young adults.) I think that from the age of 16, you start to get more qualified and therefore would want better shoes.
Nike shoes are typically for males. Most of the football players are males and a very few of them are females. Most of the time, Nike shoes are more luxurious from the other shoes. It is for AB audience that have more spending power. Nike's professional shoes are for the people who are confident to improve their selves and they are not afraid against hardships. Nike's advertisements are focused on this target audience, the achievers.

Advert 2: The products name is Dior Homme fragrance. The advert is aimed at rich and classy people because of the scenery and location the advert was set in and the rich places they go to. Plus the black and white image for the advert helps to reinforce that as well. Moreover the advert uses popular and big actors who are wide known for their movies this makes the audience want to copy their idols or whoever they look up to, since their idols is using the products that means the customers would feel good and valued if they buy a product that big actors use. Furthermore the actors look happy and excited by using the product that they go out to many places to show off.

Advert 3: The service name is John Lewis Home insurance. The advert is aimed for both children and adults as the service is about home insurance. People would be happy if they have an insurance because they would feel secure and valued, they could get back anything they damage or break. Moreover the kid in the advert is dancing around the house which shows how happy she is of the insurance.
